Ballast Water System
Refurbished
Ballast water refers to the water that ships (such as oil tankers and cargo ships) fill in their ballast tanks to maintain balance on the world's oceans. This ballast water and sediment contain numerous microorganisms, and the introduction of these invasive species poses a fatal threat to native ecosystems. To
prevent the destruction of native marine ecosystems and enormous costs caused by the movement of ballast water, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) has enacted legislation mandating the installation of a ballast water treatment system on all ships operating in the world's oceans. This system sterilizes and disinfects ballast water before discharge.
We have developed a power system for electrolysis-based ballast water treatment systems and, through our dedicated production line, supply compact, modular, high-capacity rectifiers that are effective in reducing installation space and costs for various vessels.
